A lot of companies (even in these cash strapped times) will match fund fundraising efforts. Some companies have established match funding schemes, but even if yours hasn’t done it before there is no harm in asking.
In the past we have been lucky enough to have a mum who applied to Santander for matched funding for a Christmas Fair. We received £700 which was a massive contribution towards our target that year.
Your employer is probably motivated to support charitable activity for the same reasons as you, and if it will help them to justify their generosity we can provide them with some information about the parents association, what we have been spending our funds on and the support the school has received from us.
